The IWCOA Girls Dual State Championships invites 16 of the best girls teams in the state of Illinois based on a criteria from previous results . The 16 teams are placed in pools of four and, based on their pool results, are then placed in either a championship bracket of 8 or a consolation bracket of 8 for three additional duals. The IWCOA recognizes the top six placing teams with trophies and individual medals.
